This lead to amazing performances that I still critiqued but only to improve on what they changed specifically the emotional value I’m looking for. Whenever my actors were done, I told them to go through and either cross out the lines they thought weren’t needed and to also rewrite the lines they think could be worded better suited for their character. I learned I was good directing as I would give the actor the script and say “before I finalize this script, I want you to read the script, read the character descriptions, and then read the script again.” I’m thankful for my obstacles at the school for they have made me stronger in a different way than usual. It was also through that testing journey I gained new levels of strength and also different types of strengths geared toward storytelling and communication with other people. ![]() They began to think of it as testing journey too. ![]() They, just like me, grew to want to test their limitations. Who knew this lone wolf would build another pack of lone wolves through cheering them on. All I have to do is think of it in the form of another journey with adventures inside of it.” It was through that testing journey that I learned that I could push others to be resilient and push through too. I told myself, “If I can make through this long test others have a hard time beating. My journey was set in my head, “make it to the end of this one and you can make it through anything.” Most people drop out of college because it’s hard and takes up time for most people’s eyes. Of course, this being a very vague and not so detailed summary of my whole life, it was the journey here that lead me to want to change even more. Fast forward again to attending the Art Institute of Houston, where I studied film. Anyone who has truly completed one journey will most likely find another start, for it isn’t until you make to the true end of one journey that you see that you changed so much and endured so much that you wonder what else can you push through and how hard. On a journey, you have to change and if you want to get to the end of the journey, you have to keep moving forward no matter how much you fall. I also learned that differences between a journey and adventure is an adventure opens your eyes and teaches you knew things while a journey requires taking everything you learned and applying it to gain new strengths. I learned how to edit, how to shoot, and how to pace with time. So, whenever working on my video projects for class, people liked working with me and my other friends more than most. This taught me if all I do is show people they can trust me and set boundaries for both me and them, they’ll care just a little more then they did before. We were always there for each other and left it only for us to beat each other up when wrong and no one else. With that mutual respect came one thing, family. This group of friends taught me that we don’t have to like each other for us to be friends, we just have to be able to trust each other and have mutual respect for boundaries. Each small adventure we went on opened our eyes to both the good and bad of life and other people.Īll of us constantly going on adventures trying to find a journey. We operated as a group of lone wolves, dividing and conquering to come back to a pack of other loners. Running into each other is what lead to all the positive times and negative times. The only reason why is we would set ourselves out on small adventures and didn’t really care who tagged along or if we were alone when we did. I had gained a constant group of friends who just like me floated between different cliques. Mind you, from kindergarten to junior year, a lot has changed. ![]() It was here that I learned, I love turning my stories into a visual art instead of literary art. Fast forward to junior year in high school, by this time, I decided to take a video production class. After a while, I became good at telling stories off the top of my head. Now, I’ll admit I sucked, so Mario won most in the beginning. I had a friend named Mario who always told good stories compared to me and we would compete over who told the best each day. I remember whenever I was in kindergarten, my teacher would let us stand in front of the class and tell stories whenever we were about to leave. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Hudson.
